What's New In Version 1.1
This is a total re-write from the original version. When a letter is pressed an animation video plays full screen giving the letter and plays a short sound.

Good start
Nice app, I like the high quality sounds iFRizzo chooses for their applications, my son loves the army men and vehicle apps. The only changes I would make to this are, keep the picture up until the sound finishes playing, and unlike the other sounds apps where playing multiple overlapping sounds makes for more fun, in this one it just doesn't flow correctly since you're trying to learn.
If I may suggest how to fix this, have the picture simply fill the screen blocking all other buttons when a letter is pressed and then have it stay there till it's played out.(bonus points if you add a little "stop" button to the picture to end the sound right away if the child picks the wrong one)
That said after playing with this for only a short while my son started repeating things like "C is for Car" without even thinking about it, which was very nice for me to see.
Needs Work
I purchased this app to use with my two young grandsons. Because they are impatient and tend to keep tapping on the screen, this app is unusable. I would give it 4 stars if one change were made. Lock out the screen after a letter has been pushed and hold the picture screen until the audio part has finished.
Make the photos display longer!
My daughter loves the other two sound apps by this company so I was glad to purchase this one. However, it is really upsetting to see the pictures only showing up while holding down a letter. My daughter is 22 months old and doesn't understand that she has to hold each button down to see the photo. I agree with the other review that says the photo should stay on as long as the sound goes on. I also think that the sounds shouldn't be able to overlap (as is the case with the animals and vehicles apps) because that defeats the purpose of learning the letters. Otherwise, great concept and keep the sound apps coming!
