Non IRig app access
I will gladly pay a "tariff" as an in app purchase to avoid having to use your proprietary IRig gear. I love your app...please let me use the MIDI, XLR, phantom power, RCA video out, stereo quarter inch main outs and kicking headphone outs,etc on my Alesis Studio dock for iPad... You can protect your proprietary access by just charging more for non-IRig users. The 8 track recorder alone, gorgeous... Add MIDI MMC to the transport functions and let people use their mics of choice, patch out a video feed mod, allow import/export of files and you got a 5 star plus app.
Could be great but fails
I really loved this app on my iPhone. It was the FIRST app I purchased for my iPad 2, which I was planning to use with an Alesis Io Dock that I bought at the same time as the iPad. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!
I found out AFTER purchasing AmpliTube Fender that the app only works using the audio jack and not the 30 pin connector, which is what the Io Dock uses. For more than 15 MONTHS IK Media has been claiming that they will SOON support the 30 connector, which they have failed to deliver. And not even a single mention of this issue in the specs.
It has become obvious that they have no plans to support the 30 pin connector as all of their hardware connects using the audio jack.
I've given up and bought Garage Band for iPad that works with the Io Dock and even has a bigger install base and better support.
Do yourself a favor and pass on any IK Media apps. They jut don't care about their customers. Too bad, I really liked the app, but lack of 30 pin support makes it a BIG FAIL!

Best $14.99 I've spent in a long time. The Blues Jr. was worth the price of admission.
