Still silly, but now with huge ads!
Game play hasn't changed in this update. You are still randomly trying to kill the pigs by flinging your birds at their structures via a slingshot. You still can't easily aim, the controls are very sensitive. And if you find one perfect angle and strength for a shot, but mess the next one up, you can't undo the bad shot. So on your next attempt, you have to hope you can get the perfect shot again.
Another frustration with gameplay is that sometimes the pigs, or bird, or structure is very slowly moving at the end of your turn. So slowly in fact that it doesn't appear to be moving at all! But the game focus doesn't return to the slingshot, so something is moving somewhere. And yes, you can manually move back to the slingshot. But you may be wasting your bird (and costing yourself a lot of points!) if you don't let the game finish your last turn.
On startup, you are also subjected to a long video ad that apparently can't be skipped. Clicking anywhere counts as a click on the ad, taking you out of the app and into the AppStore for the product the ad was selling. (If I were paying per click for my ads to appear in this app, I would be very frustrated with the high click through rate, but low conversion rate.) I also received a different video ad between two attempts at one of the new rounds. And finally, there is a banner ad at the top of the screen. You shouldn't brush against it accidentally, it is kind of out of the way. But it's animation is a bit distraction.
Yes, it's a free app, so I shouldn't complain about the ads. But the ads can't be gotten rid of, as there are levels in this incarnation of Angry Birds that can't be played elsewhere.
All in all, I still don't see the attraction of the game. I love physics puzzlers, and the overall concept is great. But the execution is frustrating, and combine that with the intrusive and annoying ads leads me to be unable to recommend this game to others.

I used to like this game until the update put adds in it. Really! Something at the top of the screen is ok, but to have a full up commercial just ruins it. Thanks joining the already large group that loves to ruin things with commercials.
