Description

Amnesia, pajamas, pigtails and a directionally challenged black sheep: unravel the mysteries of a quirky universe between fable and fantasy(*)

(*) unsuitable for players who do not like cats.

Brought to you by a rogue indie developer, Antistar is the beginning of a fantastic adventure, it will please fans of anime styles who also like reading and solving puzzles.

If you are addicted to point and click adventures the action scenes and dreaded one hit kill may shock you a little, please enlist the help of a joystick pro (but no, you cannot kill the giant raven, instead you should find the axe and listen carefully to its diminutive sibling).

More than 15,000 players noticed this game was made with love and decaliters of coffee. They compared it to Tate Modern and the LSD and are a little sad because the new chapters aren't out yet.

Another 15,000 players felt really grumpy after trying it. They skipped all the dialogues, were unable to solve the puzzles and lost patience with the controls after 10 minutes. Or complained that the night is dark.
They also noticed the lack of save points - however you can restart at the beginning of the latest stage you have completed, so you'll be OK if you can spare about 10 minutes per session.

One review stated that only the music is good. It went straight to my heart since the music is the only part I haven't done myself.

The new chapters aren't out yet because I want to make it up to EVERYBODY and come back with an AWESOME sequel. Besides I realized my first game engine was an obnoxious after hours mess and although this doesn't seem to affect gameplay, it limited my creativity so I just had to do *something*.

Customer Reviews

Sometimes this game is very pretty...

But I wouldn't call it fun.
The gameplay is basically "find the item while avoiding deadly enemies that are way faster than you."

And for every moment in the game really looks inventive and neat, there are ten other parts that look thrown together and horrible.

Too bad.

Different and deep play-game.

I just got this game and must write that from the very first steps into it i felt like mystified by it.
It´s so different from the mainstream that it fascinates people like me, it´s a bit of Myst, a bit of RPG and much more. Don´t want to reveal to much, see for yourself.
Graphics are nice, sound is well adapted on game situation and sounds every second strange, kind Vanghelis...very good ;)
Game world reacts on sensors, fast and responsive to touch, just right for seeking the way.
From what i have seen and played in the short time i can only recommend it to any world-discoverer...give it a try, you won´t be disappointed.

It´s definitively a five - star game.

Very Promising

Pros: Though the graphics are simple, they are very well done. I like that some of the puzzles (like the giant raven) involve a bit of thinking. The game saves automatically every time you complete a level, and you can go back and replay levels.

Cons: The game was not particularly buggy, but the controls were difficult to maneuver, and the camera angle could not be changed. The dialogue could also use some improvement: once you've talked to someone, you cannot do so a second time.

Overall: Antistar is a beautiful, intriguing game, with some moderate issues, but still well worth the $3.
