Customer Reviews
Excellent program, but EDGE users have little choice.
Works very well over WiFi and fast. However I was looking forward to listening in my car and first generation iPhone users will be disappointed that they only have a handful of stations to choose from over the EDGE network. The EDGE network is simply too slow to allow high quality audio feeds. The stations I was able to receive sounded worse than my car stereo's AM stations.
Impressive
All I need in my car is a pair of speakers, my iPhone and a specdock. No need for anything else. With the iPhone, I have my gps and radio and phone all in one. This app has what I need for my local stations. If driving across country, I can keep my local stations all the way! Bye Bye satellite radio!
Phone disabled by AOL Radio
When AOL Radio is playing the phone will not ring or otherwise indicate that there is an incoming call!. Also the call does not show up in recent or missed calls. It is as if the telephone functions are completely disable by AOL Radio. The radio portion is all I could have wanted but I can't deal with having the phone disabled during radio listening. This is with a 1st Gen iPhone upgraded to 2.0 and on the edge network. Don't know about phone call problems with 3G.
