Description
Polarbit present Armageddon Squadron, an arcade flight simulator giving you control of some of the best known aircraft of the WWII era in a variety of mission types and environments.
Objectives include bombing and strafing raids against facilities and convoys, protection of ground troops against enemy aircraft and action-packed dogfights against enemy aces. Prepare to unleash an arsenal of machine guns, bombs, rockets and torpedoes above lush, green countryside, open sea and battle-pocked cities.

Totally dig this game
This game is loads of fun. The controls do take some time to get used to using, but it does have an in game calibration that is very useful. Once you get the hang of it you'll be flying like an ace.
Pros: Lots of fun. Good graphics and game play. The campaigns are fun and the arcade is fun too. Has a lot of replay value.
Cons: There's an icon that appears when targets are close and if you touch it you get an eyes on display, which is useful, but the way the controls react in that mode are tricky and backwards at times, and getting out of the eyes on display is difficult. Also the target lock does not work very well in the eyes on display. Points earned can not be spent on more weapons or upgrades on the planes. Can't choose the plane in campaign mode. Enemies planes retreat to out of bounds and can't be hunted and shot down.
Future updates: I would like to see more planes, more weapons, bigger maps, bombing runs (in arcade mode), and some CPU friendlies helping out...the game after all is called Armaggedon Squadron, one plane does not make a squadron. :-) Also I would like to spend points earned on various weapons and planes. Oh, and the bomber should drop a whole mess of bombs, not just one at a time. It would also be neat if you could do strafing runs on moving targets like tanks, trucks, and trains in arcade mode. Bridges should also be able to be destroyed, and the train should be on a loop between cities where it brings fresh supplies and repairs damage to factories and anti-aircraft guns. So stopping the train would be the object of the board, and it should be available in arcade mode.
All in all a great game. No regrets with this one.
OMG!! Word Up!!
This game rocks!! This game, "Brothers in Arms", "Fastlane Street Racing", & "Field Runners" have raised the bar beyond & above 99% of the "proof of concept gimic" puzzle "Papi Jump" wack apps that flood into the app store every week. This game is a Rolls Royce app!!
Update wish list:
1. The ability to start the engine and literally takeoff and land on the air strips!!
2. Even bigger maps.
3 Sharper turns.
4. Hell, can I have an F-22? ;-)
5. Oh yeah, hugh explosions!!
