I've been playing this several says now, and I can say that it has not crashed on me yet. Runs pretty smooth for the most part, but there are times when the frame rate drops, and it chugs a little.
I've noticed that some cars sound the same as others, but also that many sound totally different. For example the Ford Mustang GT 500 sounds completely different as say the Lamborghini.
It is tough, but not impossible. In the later stages you had better have developed some skill, or it will get very frustrating. But stick with it and practice and it'll cone to you.
The accelerometer works great and I've found that for me the auto vehicle acceleration helps a lot.
All in all this arcade style racer is not without some fixable flaws, but it is also very fun, and a steal at a buck. Probably even worth $5 as per usual price.
Real Racing doesn't even have real cars. That turns me off. But it does have a better frame rate.
Note: push and hold the power and hone buttons at the same time and hold for about 12 seconds. This will shutdown and restart your device. Should clear up any problems.
Also. If you're running this on the 8gig touch model, you do not have strong enough graphics system to run this all that smoothly, and may crash more often. As is the case with most graphically demanding games. Especially Gameloft games. Sorry, but that does not make this a poor game. Just a weaker device compared to the 32 or 64 gig models that do have s superior graphics accelerator.

Really awesome racer. About as close to console quality as you can get.
Don't be stupid and rate low because it went on sale. Sales happen. I've bought games full price that went on sale soon after. Sometimes even the next day.
It rounds out in the end. Something always goes on sale.
Upset
I just bought this game and now it won't open on my iPhone 4. I want my money back!!! I played with it for about an hour and everytime I try to open the app to get back in it kicks me out.

Cop chase is impossible FIX IT. oh yeah it's gameloft I'm talkin to the don't listen to customers...my bad.
