My wife and I are expecting a baby in 5 months(I can't wait). I love my iPhone so much that I can't wait until someone asks where we thought of our daughters name And I can reply "there's an app for that". But this is the app to do it with. I've bought 4 other baby name apps and this one is an all in one app. The only app that I could find that was close to this had a very dull background while this one is colorful, adding to the excitement of picking out your babies name. My favorite part though is the customer support. I emailed in at 6:00 pm with a suggestion and recieved a response at 10:00 pm, only to find that my suggestion of emailing your favorites list was already a function and I was told how to make that work. I don't really write to many reviews but its a great app and when someone responds to me within a fee hours I love it. I've been waiting months ,on other apps,for some support person to get and have recieved nothing. So I guess the point of my review is that if your looking at reviews for this app then you are looking for a names app and in that case this app is a must have even if you own other apps. And for the developer keep up the good work of listening for suggestions and I hope to see you implement them into future versions.
A writer's resource
I was happy to find this ... It complements my character naming book, especially when I'm on the go. For the popularity ratings, it would be more helpful if advanced search would allow finding popular names of a particular decade (or even century). I'm skeptical of the accuracy of some of the name origins and hope the developer can double check them. Some names may also have multiple origins (and meanings). As a suggestion for further development, it will be great if we could enter and store new names, also with an option to add custom notes to the names. The one last thing I wish is that the app name shown on the device home screen could be "Name Finder" instead of "Baby Names". But, oh well.
A wonderful way to find a name
It's so handy because finding that perfect name can't be done in one sitting. Perfect for my wife and I when we were driving to go through the list and search for that "just right" name. Thank you!!!
