This Starter Edition is geared toward beginning to intermediate-level players. Players can match wits against a computer opponent or play against another person in 2-player mode on a single device. Using Tutor Mode and Hints, Backgammon NJ Starter Edition can show you how to improve your game.
This Starter Edition uses the same world-class AI as the full edition to provide the same Hints and Tutoring features.

Perfect
Fair dice. Lots of options. Statistics is admirable.
Huge CHEAT! Save your sanity!!
Very frustrating game! Don't bother with this app. They go to great lengths to tell you the computer doesn't cheat. If that's the case then how does it routinely roll doubles not only consecutively but 3,4,5 and even 6 times in a row!! Forget it!
Good Game Play But Too Easy
It's a good interface but I wouldn't call the computer AI as anything like intermediate, it is more suited to beginners. Maybe this is a cunning plan to get us to upgrade to the full version. In which case it's worked. It is fun to play however and the simple interface makes it a good starter game.
