Beer Pad is the iPhone app for the fine beer aficionado. Once you install Beer Pad, you will always have your beer notes with you; right on your iPhone. Beer Pad goes beyond the traditional paper notebook full of tasting notes.
With Beer Pad you can:

Great app
This app is for real beer drinkers, not people who like bashing apps they would never use. Beer is more complicated then you think after you get away from Coors and MGD. Leave the real beer to us. "Why don't you go back to your strip malls and drink your Zimas and Smirnoff Ice."
Very cool, could benefit from better filtering
Um, if you don't "get it" or if you walk out of a liquor store with Coors, don't rate this app. It's not for you. Brewery and region selectors are pre-populated with tons of choices and you can add your own, well done. Small touches like automatically going to the number pad in the price field are nice. For me, this would be a five star app if I were able to filter my entries with the same selectors I can use to tag beers instead of just a text search, and I prefer a 7-star rating system over a 5-star. Still worth my $5!

Not a bad app...good little niche application. Some bugs, quirks and usability features (though all is workable).
To the Developer...
Things to fix or features to add:
USABILITY BUGS:
- Sometimes hard to get the Beer Name to go into edit state with keyboard.
- Review sections (taste, color, etc) do not word wrap. So if you write a long entry it can be challenging getting to the front or end of the entry. Please make a text area.
- Re-sort entries alphabetically. Adding a new beer or brewery simply places it at the bottom. After a 100 or so, we'll never find anything. Should be REALLY easy.
REQUESTS:
- Give us 1/2 star ratings. So many times it's really not a 4 star but it's not a 3 star average. It's slightly better than average. And I want to give it a 3 1/2 star. Or it's a superb beer but it's not an absolute perfect 5. Giving a 4 1/2 star rating would be perfect. *beg beg* Please add this feature. Others have stated they'd like the more rating options.
- Wow, taking the time to type all this info into the app nearly got my wife mad at me. *lol* Please look into tying the app to a site like BeerAdvocate.com. To allow us to look up a beer and auto-populate name, brewer, description, everything that is not personal review related. Man, that would make this a $10 app...
