Fun game, hard to see some elements on screen
I just discovered the Bit Trip games thanks to the Humble Indie Bundle. Decided to give this one a try. It's a lot of fun to play. Only minor complaints I have: some of the gameplay elements especially the flashing beats are hard to on top of the backgrounds. Also I don't see what's different between Blitz and regular Bit Trip Beat? Can anyone tell me?
I'd also like to see sensitivity levels on the tilt controls.
On a related note: I'd love to see Runner and the other Bit Trip games on iOS. I like Beat better than Runner, since it takes more than one screw up to take you back to the beginning of the level.

Fun concept falls short
The 8-bit style of music and visuals is a fun throwback, but the game falls short. It's a simple concept to grasp (basically Pong on steroids), but you're rarely rewarded for doing well. If you get enough hits without misses, you graduate from Hyper to Mega status, and the music and visuals become more involved as a reward. However, you must continue this streak for a substantial amount of time to reach "Multi+" status; this is not just a challenge--it's very difficult to do. Thus, it's too easy to get knocked down back to Hyper and never feel rewarded for your hard work. That's the only incentive system the game has; no creative customization or anything. Just a barebones game with a disappointing reward structure. This game's fun factor wears off within a few minutes, and it's not worth $.99 for the frustrating gameplay and lackluster replay value.
