Still The BEST Book Database App!!!
When it comes to Book Crawler, I haven't found a better book database out there for serious bibliophiles who love to have FULL control over the information they need while interacting with other avid readers. It allows custom sorting, cataloging, and searches. It shows book reviews, summaries, and nearby library availability for books by your favorite author. It links to your Goodreads, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for maximum social interaction. It allows you to back up to Dropbox and/or your PC, and view your entire database via webpage. It allows you to easily import other databases via CSV- good for when you want to move your existing database info to this app! It even works with iOS version 3.1- something that other apps cannot support! The developer hosts an interactive and informative website and is VERY responsive to questions. It has tons of positive reviews by professionals and happy users alike. All this for $1.99, it can't be beat!
Not Intuitive
Bought this in hopes of organizing my 1100 books. I must say the directions stink and everything I'm doing is by trial and error as its faster than trying to find the answer. Example: to add an author it says to "click the + button at the top right", problem is nowhere on my screen at the top right is there a plus icon. It seems I press way too many icons to get in between screens and to where I want to get to. I keep hoping this will work out for me but tried another app ibookshelf which is so much easier to use, gets cover and anything quickly and easy. Gave it 3 stars but really a 2.5
Love it!!
But at times, it wont download from good reads :/
