Best garden app hands down!
I was a big fan of this app before due to the great customer service, but this update is incredible. I love the new browsing options and the additional photos of "plant parts" is huge when identifying. This is way more detailed than any other field guide. The increase is Eastern plants is also appreciated. I noticed this wasn't billed in the description and was looking to be disappointed, but it seems like everything I was missing has now been added. This may not have perennials, but I can see now how you really need a different app if you are going to do it this well. As a gardener and a horticulture professional this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. This is a well thought out app, the content is excellent and the update is full of user enhancements. Whoever is behind this obviously uses it, because they knew exactly what it needed.
Not that great
If you're a serious horticulturalist than this app falls very short. The search doesn't even work, and the information given is extremely poor. Not the mention the pictures for ID are super pixelated, and hard to see.
If you want a good plant ID/information app shell out the extra few bucks and download the DirrGuide.
Better than a shelf of field guides...
I love the update and the new browse. This is the best tree and shrub identification app that I have found. The online support and community are excellent. I've found no other plant id app with anything close to the same customer support. My collections just keep growing.
