Description
Learn and practice contracted braille (Unified English Braille) with Braille Tutor!
Braille Tutor provides an interactive learning experience for a sighted or blind braille learner. It works on iPad using onscreen keys or home keys on a Bluetooth keyboard. It is self-voiced, but also works with iOS accessibility.
The app uses sounds and text-to-speech to support vision-impaired learners. Using a Bluetooth keyboard also gives the user a feel of the keys.
Additional lessons are available as an InApp purchase.

Best App
This app has been my saving grace! I use it at the end of a one-on-one lesson in Braille instruction. This has been super motivational! On a side note, I wanted to get this app on my students’ iPads but can’t find it in the App Store. I will keep looking as this would be helpful in remote learning!
Good app
I’ve started using this app and it’s nice practice. I’d like to see some more sentences added, but I agree mostly with another reviewer that it needs a backspace. There have been times where I must not have perfectly touched one of the buttons and it’d show a different letter than what I tried to press. I knew right away it was a mistake, but couldn’t fix it!
Otherwise, really nice. I may purchase the rest of the lessons, we’ll see!
Great for learning and practicing!
I had memorized contractions and thought I was good to go. But this app showed me where I needed more work, where I needed to improve. And it's fun. 😀👍 Great app! Thanks!
