I completely agree with minilawyer. This is a great app in ease of use, and being able to see all envelopes on one page is great. Customization is easy too. However, I would also like to see the ability to add detail to transactions, say in the "closer look" note page (e.g. New pants for Zach (26.00)) I haven't gotten to the end of the month yet, but adding a rollover feature as well would make this app five stars. I hope this will be in an update soon!
I like the simplicity
Out of the envelope budgeting apps out there, this one seems the least complicated and I appreciate seeing all the envelopes on one page. I am concerned that balances won't rollover at the end of the month, which seems important if I'm saving for a large purchase. I'd also like to be able to give details on transactions. It looks like a good effort at a basic envelope system, but I hope there are updates coming soon!
Works great!
This is a very simple and intuitive app. If you are looking for a full blown budget system this isn't it. If you are looking for virtual envelopes this is perfect. I use it for the 5 categories Dave Ramsey recommends. I wouldn't want to keep track of everything with this though, but for planning my cash spending I love it. I think the negatives may be trying to use this app beyond it's capabilities.
