Perfect for Simple Budgeting
My husband and I are trying to stick to a monthly budget. Every month we would go over, splurge on something because we thought we had extra money, or feel guilty even if we could afford something because we didn't know for sure where we were with spending. This app is perfect for helping us stick to the program. I ended up erasing all the default labels and making just five for myself that we use, including one for my son, since I was splurging on him the most. It works very similar to other iPhone functions, like contact lists or texting. Took about fifteen minutes of playing around with it and got all of the features figured out. Takes about 10 seconds to add a transaction and label it.
Cool stuff, will roll over if you don't spend it all. You can label the expense so you remember where the money went. You can set a label to not be part of the "other bills", ie Christmas Spending.
UI needs work
I got this because I had seen a couple positive reviews on a couple websites but the User Interface is awful, I didn't use it for months and when I went back to it at the begining of the year I could not for the life of me figure out how to log in my paycheck. I've since switched to the Mint.com app which is free and MUCH more user friendly; this app is not worth spending money on when there is a superior free competitor out there.
Not worth a buck
If you're trying to stream line your budget you can start by not wasting your money on this app.
