What's New in Version 3.0.2
New:
You can now enter your calories manually and sync with LIVESTRONG.COM. Your diary includes the total number of calories -- and net calories -- you've consumed for the day. Easily see what you have taken in and what you have burned.
Customized nutrient profile displays your daily breakdown of proteins, carbs, and fats.
Improved:
User functionality is now streamlined for ease of use. You can enter your weight as part of your initial profile and delete diary entries from the edit screen.
The community experience is enhanced with new highlighting that identifies the original message, and your exercises now display photos in the recently used lists, making it easier to log activity. Tracking accuracy has also been enhanced, with improvements in tracking fractional servings.
Fixed:
Calorie goal syncing has been improved. Calorie goals are even more precise and your profile will sync with the website when you exit the app.
Note: If you are experiencing any problems, especially with sync, please contact support so we can help track down the issue. We have no way to contact you through the app store reviews.

The upgrade ruined this App!
Before the update I lost a total 75 lbs. I owed it all to this program. I dedicated myself, and didn't break my calorie limit and this app made me successful! Now they flashy new look has destroyed a lot of the apps functionality. My biggest complaint is that the the recently eaten foods section and the frequently eaten foods section miss a lot of things I eat regularly but not every day. It was a lot easier when I could type a bit of the name under search and it would start the list of results with all the foods I had eaten that had what I typed in the name. Now I have to treat each thing I eat like I'm looking for it for the first time, and it makes the whole process of entering your calories take 10 times as long as it should take. The most recent update still doesn't fix this basic problem.
fixed one or two things but still not good
livestrong I have been using myfitnesspal for almost a month now and I have to say that is 100x times
however I loved my livestrong app, paid for this app and would be happy to return to original design but not to this useless user interface that removed all of the features so loved by long time users. it's been torture!
please make it so that I can have a page view not landscape
please add the old snack tracking features back in
please make the pictures optional
please fix this app
btw if you do ever test this app again on the iPad please check
it on pre iOS 5.1 versions that many people are still using. I bet that you never tested anything besides the most current one.
New UI has serious takeaways
I've been using Livestrong for 11 months and I loved the extensive database of food and activities that helped me lose weight and keep it off. A major redesign was recently introduced. Like any change, it takes getting used to, but there is a major takeaway in the new app that seriously reduces its value to me. There are also aspects of the UI that make it more difficult to use.
In what seems to me a fit of arrogance, they have decided that activities such as chopping wood and shoveling snow are no longer deemed worthy of tracking. I complained to Livestrong support and was told that they decided to differentiate "fitness" from "activities" and to remove what they considered normal daily activities from the tracking list. If I had to choose from their current list I would not have been able to track chopping wood, shoveling snow, painting the house, raking leaves, installing storm windows or cleaning house (which is NOT a normal daily activity for me). These calorie-burning activities were as important as any of the so-called fitness activities I engaged in. Curiously, Livestrong considers “WII Golf” a worthy fitness activity.
As for the UI, the redesigned app makes it more difficult to re-enter foods that I’ve eaten. The new app allows selection from lists of "recently eaten foods" and "frequently eaten foods." Unfortunately, items mysteriously appear and vanish from the recently-eaten list, making it unreliable. The frequently-eaten list, which is arranged alphabetically, is worthless. Since I have eleven months of history on the app, the frequently-eaten list stops at "cheeseburger" (which I do not eat frequently).
