Works mint
Easy to use. Convenient. Occasionally you run into old scanners that won't read the screen. Like the self scan at stop and shop and stop and shop gas stations. I keep a manual card in the car and just bring up the card on cardstar and manually type in the number at the self check out. No big deal and this should go away soon once they upgrade those scanners.

Card star recognizes most of the bar coded store cards I use and have. The few it didn't capture we're the ones without barcodes. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars not because of the App but a lot of the stores scanners can't read the code from my iPhone 4S display. They have to manually key in the bar code. The app is still good since you can store all those annoying little cards you have to carry for admission or to get store discounts and rewards. before I started using card star it seemed like I never had or couldn't find the correct card I needed.
Note to developers of card star. Thanks for making an app that makes the iPhone more helpful.
Card clutter no more!!!
I have had this app for over a year and I absolutely love it. Most times when I pull it out to use it the cashier is so impressed (even if they don't scan) they still what to know about it and how to get it.
So yes some stores registers are not able to pickup the bar code from your phone but they certainly can manually punch in the number. Either way I do not have a purse full of cards weighing my shoulder down. Plus, I am confident that these stores will eventually upgrade their equipment to keep up with ever changing technology.
Get this app and you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. 👍👍👍👍👍
