Description

There are thousands of applications for your smartphone,
but this one can help you save someone's life.

Cell Phone CPR is an application designed to assist with the timing and steps of correct CPR. Cell phone CPR will help you maintain the rhythmic requirements of providing correct age specific CPR. This software will prompt you for the proper CPR requirements for infants, for children and for adults. This application will provide you with training reminders when your CPR certification is about to expire and a link to a website for locating CPR courses in your area.

Medical evidence shows that even healthcare providers have difficulty-performing CPR to the suggested guidelines and that CPR skills begin to erode after just months. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee or a single music video, this software could help you save someone's life.

Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death. Several studies have shown that early CPR is critical to improve these low survival rates. International resuscitation guidelines emphasizes the importance of high-quality CPR because correct chest compression rate during CPR is associated with improved blood flow and overall survival rate.

Conforms with the CPR Guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), European Resuscitation Council (ERC), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC), Resuscitation Council of Asia (RCA), Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa (RCSA), the Australia and New Zealand Council on Resuscitation (ANZCOR), and the InterAmerican Heart Foundation (IAHF).

What Cell Phone CPR is NOT. Cell phone CPR is NOT designed to replace formal training. It does NOT contain CPR training videos, and will NOT certify you in CPR.

One of the most important keys to surviving a cardiac arrest is receiving early proper CPR. Other similar CPR metronomes can cost up to $25.00 and be as bulky as a computer mouse. Cell phone CPR runs directly from your cell phone, something most people have immediately available.

It is recommended for anyone that has ever had a CPR course. No one trained in CPR should be without Cell Phone CPR.

What's New in Version 1.1

The word "Compress" has been added to the flashing compression screen.

Love it! An APP that saves lives. What more do i need to say! Great APP love the reminder feature.

Needs one fix and some suggestions

I got this for the timing and for the at-a-glance steps. I've been trained and wanted a quick reference for emergency situations. Some of the other applications are great in providing more in-depth training BUT would be cumbersome to get thru when timing is of the essence. This application fit the bill of quick reference but one major fix is needed. This one has us breathing twice after 100 compressions for the adult. I was taught to breathe twice after 30 compressions for adults, kids and infants with the difference being in the type of compression......all at the rate of 100 per minute. PLS fix the timer for the adult!!!!

Also, can you add the following quick steps on each:

Call 911
Listen for breathing
Check for pulse

And under infants:
Call 911
Tap feet - check for response

I wonder if the timer should pause after 5 complete sets as we were instructed to take pulse and check for breathing again before continuing on.

I'll adjust my rating when timing is fixed for adults. I'll add kudo comments if you add these additional quick but important steps. They should not be missed and are important to assess before beginning CPR.

Also---can you add an audible breath count? The visual is not enough if our eyes are on the person. Thanks!

Pretty Weak app - just another metronome and a bunch of reference material

Sorry guys, but a decent medical app this is NOT. It really needs something to help you learn or practice CPR. I am pretty disappointed. Just a bunch of regurgitated content like other apps that work better than this one. Save your money folks.
