Ways to go...
I tried more tan 10 other note taking apps and thought I found the one that did everything I wanted, so I decided to pay the $29.99 -- which is more than the total of all other apps I tried. I am greatly disappointed that it can not print, export to PDF, or email. Plus no iCloud support either.
Nov 28th update
Thanks for the update using Dropbox. My app now crashes every time I try to annotate a PDF. Great update two weeks before finals!
Awkward to use
I had Notebook in my iBook awhile back and it worked quite well. On the iPad not so much. I assumed it would be fantastic for the price of $30. Notebook has a lot of features they are not implemented in a touch-friendly way. There is a pretty steep learning curve and the interface is clunky. Putting a picture into one of my notes proved to be a very time consuming exercise because there are 3 options for how to enter it and then it wouldn't go where I wanted it to go. I found out you have to be in the 'bulleted' mode to put in a picture, so to put my picture toward the bottom of my drawings I had to return umpteenth times to get the bulleted mode line down there. If you tap to put text somewhere you can't do 'bulleted' mode and you can't place documents or media there. You can't select an entire drawing to move it, etc. etc. Very frustrating. Especially for the price it should be a dream to use. Notability is a 99 cents and much more elegant and intuitive.
