Description
Critical Mass (aka Critter) is a vertical arcade shooter. Save the world while you fly through some beautiful space scenery filled with stars and nebulae.
Your world has been infested by an aggressive army of space critters. Overrun and unprepared, your government was unable to defend its precious resources. As a last effort to recapture some of the "goodies", you have been placed into a tiny spacecraft and sent after them.
You control your spacecraft at the bottom of the screen, moving left and right in order to avoid incoming bombs and kamikaze attacks from the alien space critters while at the same time firing your own missiles. Collect the goody containers dropped by defeated critters.
CONTROLS:
Tilt left or right to move the spacecraft.
Tap the screen to shoot missiles.

Sweet game.
I took a chance on this one. No reviews, more costly than many alternatives, unknown company.
Happily, it's an excellent game. **Super** 3D. The interface is simple, but looks great. It's got a lot of replay value.
To work on:
> Needs more levels and bosses! Hopefully more to come with updates, but one boss (with the same attack)? That makes it especially repetitive.
> Improve player-ship movement. It's the one thing that seems choppy. Because it's a constant throughout the game, it's very important that it be reliable: When there is a power-up falling and I'm *positive* that at it's rate of descent and the speed of my ship, that I can catch it, I'll end up missing it because my ship's speed seems to vary with the frame-rate.
> An adjustment for the ship sensitivity/speed would be nice.
> "End Game" button. Right now it just keeps going. The ONLY way to end it and input a high-score is to purposely kill yourself...
> Too easy. I had to play it on hardcore to get a challenge.
Fun but Updates Needed
This is a pretty good space shooter style arcade game. The controls are easy to use, just tilt your iPhone/iPod left or right to move the ship. There are plenty of power ups and points to collect but they are not always easy to get to. I would recommend this game, although the price is high. I got it when it was on sale.
-------Updates Needed-------
1) Save function. The only way to end the game is die or close the App.
2.) A way to get to the main menu during play.
3) Better high scores list. I still don't know how to input my name to go with my score.
4) Maybe some background changes as the levels increase. The enemies change but I think the background should switch too.
5) Again A SAVE function. Please add someting to help us exit the game without loosing points and starting over.
