Description
CrunchUrl is a simple utility which allows you to quickly crunch/trim/shrink/compress/shorten web addresses for emails, forum posts, blogs, Twitter, mobile text messages etc. where sharing a short URL is preferable to a long unsightly one.
For example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rough-Guide-Macs-OS-Reference/dp/1843538733/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1247659938&sr=1-9 becomes: http://is.gd/1zE4f
Features:
- When using Safari, you can prefix the url with "cu" to throw the url into CrunchUrl (Eg. cuhttp://www.google.co.uk)
- Now has an 'Un-Crunch' feature, so you can unshorten (some) urls sent to you
- In the Uncrunch section, a 'Web of Trust' feature allows you to verify any unshortened url
- If more than one url is detected in the clipboard, you can pick one from a list
- If a url is found in the clipboard, it will switch you into the appropriate page for crunching or uncrunching
- You can specify your own custom crunchers in the Settings panel
- You can enter your own bit.ly & j.mp User names and keys in the Settings panel
