Customer Reviews

"RBKK" reviewer is a clueless douchebag!!!

Overall it's a pretty basic converter that works well although there are some minor flaws.

An earlier version had a wonderful invert function which was absolutely awesome - no longer the case, an earlier update wiped it out. Also now each time you press "convert" you hear this really annoying beep for no reason. Seems like the founder decided to dis-improve his app?

The app Iists several currencies that have been phased out for quite some time. For example where can I buy the Slovakian Koruna, the Slovenian Tolar or the Estonian Kroon?? They've all been replaced by the Euro, some for several years now. Why don't you list the Deutche Mark and the French Franc while you are at it??

Also, it uses the singular form for some currencies and the plural for others? Why Swedish Krona (singular) but Danish and Norwegian Kroner? (plural)

Singular form is Krona for Sweden (also Faroe Krona for the Faroe Islands) and Krone for Denmark, Norway and Greenland.

The recent iPad upgrade is a very nice touch. I give it 4 1/2  out of 5 if there was a way to give 1/2 stars. Bring back the original inverter function, use correct, singular spelling for all currencies and you'll get 5 stars from me.

PS. Those who're complaining about needing an Internet connection - I'm frequently in China, both "red" and "blue" (and other Asian but also European and Middle Eastern countries) and I haven't run into this problem. As long as you've "updated" the values fairly recently the converter should work even without an Internet connection.

Good excepting China

Nice clean simple app for currency conversion. But didn't pull updates in China when I las went. Xe currency did, so this data source must be blocked. 5* except if you go to China.

the best

This app is fast and does what it says without fail.
