Good but please get better!
This is a good program but it needs to be simpler or additional videos to explain what the possibilities are! There does not seem to have been an upgrade in awhile and Daylite needs to keep improving and be sensitive to small business owners! Also,
Touch has a poor Search function, especially in the calendar and because of that, in the field it leaves me short and I'm not has good as I know I can be. The old Palm Pilot searched better than Daylite- on my iPhone.

1. Daylight syncs your outgoing and incoming emails to your contacts. You can look up a contacts record and see every email you have ever sent or received from a particular contact. That's critical for those like or need to keep tract of all communication with their contacts. Imagine being able to see a history of all emails ever sent or received from a customer. You can even track your incoming and outgoing phone calls. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
2. Daylight syncs your To Do list to your contacts. Should ToDo Action items be done any other way??? Imagine being able to tap on a contact and see the time and date of every todo ever completed in connection with that contact. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
3. Daylight syncs your appointments to your contacts. Imagine preparing for an appointment and being able to see all contact information (addresses, phone numbers, email, web addresses, etc.) for every contact that will be in attendance at that meeting? And, you can call up this information from any device! And, there is no need to be connected to your wireless network to see it. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
4. Daylight allows contact linked Project Management. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
5. Daylite attaches all related contacts to each Project, Opportunity, Appointment, or To Do. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
6. Daylight allows offsite synchronization of all contacts, appointments, projects, ToDo Action Items, and everything else. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
7. Daylight allows shared Contacts, Calendars, Appointments, etc. This allows you to share your information with an assistant who can post your calendar or action list to contact information from the office while you are on the road. And, you will receive instant updates wirelessly! NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
8. Daylight allows you to link multiple contacts to each business. That way you are able to see all contacts connected with every company you may be calling on. NO OTHER APP PROVIDES THAT FUNCTIONALITY! !
THINK ABOUT THIS: I currently have over 6,000 contacts in my Daylight database. When you add to that the untold number of completed ToDo's, appointments, notes, emails, projects, attachments, etc., you can quickly appreciate how awesome the program really is. It's probably managing over 100,000 pieces of information connected to all these contacts and it does it seemingly easily. It handles the data like I only had 10 contacts to manage! It's quick and extremely responsive. I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO FIND A BETTER PROGRAM.
KEEP IN MIND: This program is not for the casual user looking for a simple To Do List Manager. However, even if you are a busy housewife who is serious about managing the complexities associated with running a family, this program is for you. I find it indispensable even when caring for personal family related items.
* * * The point is this: The Daylight programmers are the only ones that have gone the extra mile to provide such unique and extremely important features. However, don't expect to start using this program without investing the time to learn how to use all of these features.
First, you have to own at least one Mac and run Daylight on it. This program is not cheap! If there were a cheaper solution that provides these features I would own it. You can download a 30 Day trial from the developer. Don't waiste your 30 day trial. Really use it.
Secondly, download the iPhone and iPad versions and sync with your Mac. Then, view the videos on the developers website that shows how to purchase a static IP address or a Dyndns.com work around that will allow for offsite synchronization. I had a difficult time understanding this process but once I got it it was worth the time spent setting it up. * * *
Be sure to view the videos . . . view the videos . . . view the videos.
AND NO . . . I DON'T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY OR ANY SOFTWARE PROVIDER. I AM A MORTGAGE BANKER WHO IS PASSIONATE ABOUT GETTING THINGS DONE. FRANKLY, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT APPLE IS NOT FEATURING THIS PROGAM. IT STANDS OUT AS A MODEL FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE PROGRAMMERS.
Needs Updating
Daylite is the best crm I have found, but Market Circle has not improved it's features or made any significant improvements for the past year. This seems even more surprising given its price and $50 annual subscription model. The most important missing features in my opinion are;
1. There is no lookup for categories/groups or keywords, which is one of the most useful functionality features of their desktop version and even more sorely needed when on the road using Daylite Touch.
2. Emails sent using Daylite Touch are not synched to the contacts, which Market Circle touts as its #1 reason of "Why do I need it?" for their desktop version.
3. Calendar views need updating; there is no way to determine if a meeting or appointment was held/completed, method for scrolling through days or weeks is outdated, and there weekly view is Sunday to Monday and there is no setting to change this, nor is there an option for a 5-day work week view.
Market Circle needs to get off their heels and get back to work if they want to really separate themselves from the pack.
