Description

“Best App for Tracking Packages. Who knew tracking deliveries could be so classy?” — O’Reilly
“Simply put, this interface is as nice as any we’ve seen for this functionality—Apple should really include this app with the iPhone OS.” — iLounge
“4½ mice” — Macworld

Delivery Status touch helps you keep track of all your packages, so you always know when they’re going to arrive. The main view shows the latest status of your packages, and counts down to the estimated delivery date. Tap a delivery for more information, and if you like you can view the shipping company’s web page, or see where your packages are on a map.

Delivery Status supports more than 25 services, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, TNT, Canada Post, City Link, Royal Mail, DPD, and many more. You can also track orders from Amazon, Apple, Adobe, and Google Checkout, even before they ship. (Some services are limited to specific countries, visit junecloud.com for details.)

If you have packages from other services, just select “Other” and enter a delivery date and web site. Delivery Status will track the site and let you know when it changes.

If you create a Junecloud account, you can update your tracking numbers from any web browser, or sync with our Dashboard widget for Mac.

Customer Reviews

I am glad to see that developer of this app has a few friends here...

I use his desktop widget almost daily and I think the iPhone version is a good start.

Here are some suggestions for a next version:

1) Allow sorting of deliveries in Edit mode. A must, IMHO.
2) Optional (on/off in general settings) display of how many items are in the list (similar to indicator of missed calls, or unread emails) in the upper right of the Deliveries icon. It can be further expanded to allow display all/delivered only, etc., if Apple fully implements the push technology, as originaly promised.

Long delivery description text disappearing to the right is misleading IMHO, it gives an impression that you can scroll horizontally to display the rest of the text, but then you start getting Details/Map, etc. Not a clean implementation.

Maps and delivery details in Safari are nice, but I would prefer that they are implemented within the Deliveries app, so I do not have to reenter the application every time I use them.

Icon is classy, but it is a little misleading. The app is ultimately about delivered packages, not delivery trucks...
I assume that removal of actual UPS, US Post, etc. logos has been mandated by some legal requirements (?) It would be nice to have them on the iPhone, since they exist in the widget version.

Finally, application crashed on me when I mistakenly clicked on maps (see above) and then hit the Home button to close the app. I had to reset my iPhone 3G (fw 2.1).

UPDATE:
The more I use this app, more convinced I am that it needs to use a different paradigm then the widget version. Maybe similar approach as Apple's weather for iPhone app, where each shipment will have its own screen with carrier logo, carrier info, detailed shipment info, etc. It also needs some sort of splash screen to mask unsightly progression indicator (followed by more of the same for each individual shipment) when it first loads...

I love the interface and design of this App, sooo much better than the 'Track My Shipments' App, and it's cheaper too! If you buy stuff online I would definitely recommend this App along with the dashboard widget for your Mac so you can sync you tracking numbers between your Mac and iPhone/iPod touch.

This is what iPhone and iPod touch apps should be like!

Amongst all the trash that's been piling up there's still something good every now and then -- and this is such an example! Not only does it evertyhing it's supposed to do in a smooth and simple way, but it also looks as good as one would expect mobile iApps to do...!! There's way not enough developers in here who are doing such a great job...!!
