Let's be honest: most language translation tools are terribly cumbersome to use. Most translators require proper grammar, verb/tense conjugation, and once the desired phrase or sentence is translated, you have to struggle through speaking the foreign language to the person with whom you are communicating. Worse, your device display is oriented to you, not the other person, making it difficult to share your screen with them. You certainly don't want to hand your device over to a stranger while traveling!
Dialects solves all of these problems, by distilling communication down to WHERE, WHEN, and HOW MUCH -type questions: the majority of questions asked when traveling. Dialects also rotates the device screen to orient to the person needing to speak next in the conversation, allowing both people to read the screen, so your device never has to leave your hand!
Here's how Dialects works: you ask a simple question, and the screen automatically rotates to orient toward the person you are speaking with, allowing them to read your question in their own language. Then, they can respond to WHERE questions by finding their answer on a map; they can respond to WHEN questions by selecting the time; and they can respond to HOW MUCH questions by selecting the proper currency and amount. Dialects' rotating screen ensures you can easily present your device's screen to another person without having to hold it awkwardly or hand it to them.
