Background support is exactly what this app needed
Very useful and handy app (that loads quite well on iPhone 4). Backgrounding is pretty much the main thing I've wanted. No more waiting for the app to load up again when I stop to reply to a text. Of course, it's really only worthwhile if you have a subscription. Otherwise MedScape is a good alternative (but it lacks the offline support that Epocrates has).
Please remove constant nagging
I'd guess that less than 0.001% of the people that download this are going to pay $99/year to upgrade. Everyone else has to put up with the constant nagging to upgrade at every turn. Please consider making a full-featured version like Medscape. Either free or 99c.
Good content, rubbish app
Many people in the hospital use Epocrates because it is a free, useful drug database. But the program seems to be getting progressively slower, more invasive about advertising, and more prone to crashing. If I have to pay for a drug database, it's certainly not going to be this one. Three stars for free content, zero stars for a poor app and a cynical corporation.
