Great game, few areas for improvement
This game is great, and has some real potential to be awesome. The pros include a great fight system, characters familiar to RPGs of this nature, and a decent story line. All in all, it is a great alternative to final fantasy on the iPad. There are a few things that make me sad though....
1. Character voice overs are beyond corny....
2. Polygon hands ruin the rest of the graphics.....
3. Some parts of the story are rushed through.
Example: one character talks of the airship being heavily guarded and somewhere under the dock, presumably in an unknown location, while another's response is to kill some guards and dress up as them. Immediately following, they walk up to the airship in normal clothes....what happened?
Otherwise a great game for 10 dollars.
Finally a traditional JRPG
This is what I've been waiting for a JRPG with ps2 quality gfx and a good battle system. I hope they keep updating it to make it even better. The voice acting is passable but can be disabled if you prefer. The battle system is similar to final fantasy 13 in the fact that you only control 1 character and can queue up to 3 commands at once. Your ai companions manage themselves and do a good job helping you fight. The story is typical and you've played it before but for the money you can't beat it.
A great title
The roaming is good, and battle is ok, but I wish you could bring 4 party members into battle instead of 3. I liked the skimpy outfits on the girls, but there is some clipping overall. There is almost no strategy, if you are stronger, you win, if you are weaker, you lose.
