THE BUZZ on Etiquette Avenue
“If you have only… 5 minutes: Check out the iPhone application Etiquette Avenue for tips on writing thank-you notes, making small talk, and getting along in a foreign country.”
“O” Magazine, October 2009
“Designed for business people who need a little help in social situations, Etiquette Avenue tells you far more than which fork to use… the real benefit of the app isn’t that it tells you how to make small talk or dine with international guests, but that it gives you more confidence that you are handling yourself correctly.”
APPSCOUT, July 2009
“Techies of all kinds, but especially those on the job hunt, may want to check out Etiquette Avenue…and it’s a good time to learn proper etiquette. Given the number of qualified candidates vying for only a few jobs, hiring managers are sizing up a candidate’s character. Personal questions and even table manners are fair game.”

Customer Reviews
If you are even only somewhat informed, do NOT bother
I purchased this app several months ago. When I first loaded it, I was extremely disappointed, I have since done the updates and has not gotten better. Being in business, I was hoping to find some good tid bits such as how to properly greet folks from Japan, India, etc. How to properly exchange business cards, personal greetings, etc. Instead, all it offers are "extremely" obvious things such as how to shake hands or make obvious small talk in the U.S. If I have not figured that one out, lord help me. The content it provides is very light and not very insightful. A big disappointment. I would have been disappointed if I paid 99 cents, let alone $2.99. I even think if it was free I would have still deleted it.... I would perhaps give it 1 star higher rating if it had the ability to sort Etiquette tips by geographic region (say for example you have a business meeting in Japan so you search for "Japan"), but instead, you have to endlessly go through their "very general" and rigid categories and "hope" they may have something to cover the region or nationality you are meeting with. So aside from the poor content, the navigation is very poor as well.
Scraping the Obvious
This application fails to deliver new content; instead, what it offers is obvious (but not always accurate) advice for how to shake hands. If we can't figure that on our own, we're best to stay at home fiddling with the new Wii. Disappointing, insultingly so.
Ok app
Mostly stating the obvious. No in depth direction.
