Predictive titles?? Not even close...

PLEASE allow the predictive titles to be turned off!!! This is a worthless feature. My "predictions" are not even remotely close to what the note is about. For some reason, the note title refers to a TWiT podcast that I am not even subscribed to. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I would rather have "Untitled Note" in the title bar.

New Version is Much Improved

New Review (Please read Reviews 1–4 below):

Evernote's newest release has solved many of the issues that I have complained of in my previous reviews. The app is still buggy, but it is MUCH better than the previous version. Thank you Evernote! NOTE: Please remember that my star-rating is based solely on the performance of the iPhone app, not the web app, Mac or Windows app, or iPad app.

Review 4:
Title: Used to Be 5-Stars
Until Evernote decides to fix the formatting issues and other cumbersome aspects across their apps, I am actively seeking a replacement to Evernote. Their web app has always been almost impossible to use for two reasons: (1) It has always been incredibly slow and (2) the formatting has always been atrocious. But the formatting has always been an issue across their apps; there is no consistency. There are many things about this app that are ahead of most of their competitors, but some of the basics Evernote seems to not care about. Evernote can make very clean, well-conceived apps, as their new “Food” app and their new “Hello” app show, so why does their basic iPhone app seem to be an afterthought? NOTE: I am an Evernote Premium subscriber, and I do still use and pay for Evernote; however, I am sampling other services until I find a replacement.

Review 3:
This is a very good app. It frustrates me, but the Evernote service has a lot going for it, and this app helps you harness Evernote. Two reasons for only 4 Stars: (1) Performance and stability—the app is slow and a little buggy; (2) the formatting is inconsistent with either their web or desktop interfaces. My recommendation: GET THIS APP—and set up an Evernote account if you don't already have one.

Review 2:
This app is excellent. It used to be an okay app connected to outstanding service. Now, it is an excellent app, as well. So why only 4 stars? I used to give it 5, but as good as it is, the user interface is still lacking. The coolness factor of this app is light years beyond previous versions of the app, and there are so many improvements that it would take too long to list them all. Here are some of the good features: (1) Stability—the new version has very few bugs and is very stable; (2) Large Plus Button—to add a note now, simple press the big blue button with the plus sign on it; (3) Search & Add—when want to add a tag or change notebooks, start searching for the one you're looking for, and when you see it appear in the list below the search box, simply press it and voilá (also, if you are trying to add a tag, once you've typed in the new tag name in the search bar, all you have to do is press the “add” button below the search bar and voilá).

So why the 4 stars? If you use Evernote for everything as I do—and as the company says you can do—then the visual organization within the app becomes cumbersome and the searching becomes burdensome. In some ways, this is simply a problem with the model the company has adopted, because the web app and the desktop app have similar problems. But please understand that I am not critiquing the other apps here; my comments reflect the real state of the iPhone app.

Conclusion: Get this app and use this service. So far I have not found a similar app that comes close to this, nor have I found a similar service that comes close to this.

Review 1 (5-Stars):
I use this every day, in combination with Evernote for Desktop (also free) and Evernote Web App (also free). This app and the accompanying service are a major part of my information organization. There are so many uses for it. Almost any use you can imagine for Evernote it can perform.

It crashes on my ipad2

I use Evernote to record meetings an lectures, including audio recording. It is very frustrating when after 2 hours of recording the application crashes with all the data unsaved.

I think it has something to do with long audio records which overload the memory - just a guess.

Please fix the issue, improve reliability, or at least include autosave function. Otherwise the app is useless as I can't rely on it.
