Great app for the F1 fan
As an F1 fan living in the US, I have always wanted to be able to use live timing and scoring with my recorded races. Being able to download telemetry from earlier sessions is something that I have wished for, but didn't think would happen. I downloaded and used this app today while watching the Qualifying session from Hungary. It worked well and the track map was surprisingly accurate. The only reason that I didn't give this app 5 stars is because synching the time with a recording is a bit of a chore. I think that the addition of some sort of 'fast forward / rewind' mechanism would make the app close to perfect. As a footnote, a previous review mentioned that the Q3 times were not available for Hungary. I do get Q3 (12 hours after the session). If it wasn't available earlier I would assume that it had something to do with the timing and scoring glitch that they had at the track at the end of Q3, when even the drivers weren't sure who had gotten pole.
Edit: While I was writing this review, the developer emailed me thanking me for my comments (I emailed them about 1/2 hour ago) and they said that a FF / RW feature would be in the next release. So assuming that they are not trying to BS me... 5 Stars
Great app!
A desktop version would be a plus. Where's the Le Mans timing app? ALMS as well. Again, great app!
Getting better and better but still hard to sic.
This thing is getting better all the time. The timing matches the reported feed and stopped cars now shown as red with is nice. Cars now also shown on out lap from pit which is great. I can't see how the timing screen could get much better and the other screens as well for that matter. Easy to follow. Lots of fun and more then worth the money for an F1 fan. I would however still like to see the sic improved. The app needs a window where you could just enter the time from the world feed instead of having to fool around with the slide bar during the Pactices and Q's. The slide bar works well enought during the race where all you have to work with from the feed is the lap counter anyway. Also I would very much like to see the timer changed from minutes to Hours and Minutes. When I first got this at $29 I gave it three stars but now it's so much better I would still paid $ 29 even this late in the season and give it five stars! A must have for F1!
Please improve sic and timer.
