Not worth the cost
I don't believe it - I gave it another chance at 1.6 but it still died and STILL lost all my data.
Any crashes result in completely lost data with only manually rekeying as your only option - totally unacceptable quality and certainly not what you would expect from a company like Franklin Covey.
This software is dragging down the good name of FC.
This should be tagged as beta and charged accordingly.
Data loss occurs at the drop of a hat and because there is no sync, there is no backup.
The developers have obviously never tried to use this app for anything FC related.
Entering due dates is stupidly complicated.
The done button seems to jump around the screen.
Even simple tasks take an insane amount of key presses for no reason.
Still no sync - inexcusable.
This could be a good app, but it should be tagged beta and priced accordingly.
Latest info - I upgraded to 1.5 and it now needs a reinstall and will lose my data.
I am requesting a refund now.
Not as good as the paper version
As a die hard Franklin Covey user for 20 years, I was initially excited to see this app. It is overly priced, and crashes with nearly every tap in the application. It is good for prioritizing, but entering data for each task takes forever! You could literally spend 1 hour preparing your todo list for the day using this application. It also needs push technology or an interface with the iphone calendar so tasks can be scheduled right into your day or evening. For this price, it does not deliver. I recommend that the developers make a lite version so people can try the app out before purchasing it.
If you REALLY know FC, this is a good ap~!
You MUST know how FranklinCovey does tasks in order to use this program, Otherwise you'll be very greatly frustrated and will think it's doing a lot of things wrong. I've been using FC since the days of paper and have struggled through every one of their software programs since around 1994 back when I was a Sysop on the Compuserve Office Automation Forum. There's still some work to be done here: easy manual forwarding of tasks rates high and the ability to rename and/or delete categories but Franklin Covey has NEVER been good about fixing and/or updating their software so users should not be panting for updates because if history is any indicator, they'll be few and far between or completely absent. Too bad that FC has never quite understood that paper is slowly but surely going away. All of their software has been, it seems, outsourced and I don't think this is any different. Problem is, they won't keep paying people to fix the little niggles that users complain about - and they pretend everyone's so very happy.
