Looks terrible on the iPad
I can't believe how lazy this "Universal" version is. Please update for standard iPad resolution. I was a big fan of these as a kid. Super disappointed.
Good but could be cheaper.
Nice recreation of a handbook experience. Shaking to roll is fun and I love that they included the original illustrations, with some color added. I do think that the price is a bit high. At .99 I would buy them all,no question. For now I will wait for a sale before a buy any more.
Choose Your Own D&D
I really enjoyed these books back in the day, its a great concept adding role playing to a CYO-style story.
I think it really recreates the original series perfectly, and no temptation to cheat!
That said, I'm not sure it really holds up against more modern roleplaying adventures, with deeper stories and gameplay, however, I'm always happy to see something nostalgic that stands the test of time.
BTW, if you're letting your kid play it, make them draw a map or they'll probably quit in frustration.
