awesome.
this is one of my top 10 games of all time. And it plays awesome on the iphone.
It's a tough game, made easier by essentially savestates.
Without a manual it's a little intense for new people but the controls are good once you get used to them.
of note:
- 'Fire', should be labeled 'Action', as thats really what it is.
You hold it down if you want to run, and you use it to pick up objects or talk to people.
To jump forward, you hold 'fire' and hit up.. Running jumps are holding fire, running, and then swiping and holding up...
-Also, 'Item' doubles as 'Ok' for any dialogue or status updates the game sends you...
dont let that scare you off, this game is f*****g awesome
Disappointing
Disappointing controls mar an excellent emulation of an excellent game. Not worth the 5 bucks until they fix the controls.
Instant Classic Once The Controls are Fixed
This game brings back memories of
my years in middle school. I hope that a version of Another World comes out, which is another classic. I have one gripe about this game and once it is fixed...will make for a memorable experience. My gripe is with the controls. There is no instruction manual or log that tells you what controls do what. When you look at the controls in the main menu, the controls for the Amiga version come up. How do I do a single jump? How do I start the game over to see the awesome intro movie?! I don't know!!! If that is addressed then I would definitely revise my rating for this game. Such fond memories...now forever in the palm of my hand. Great!
