Best of the Bunch
It's currently the best of the bunch. Simple interface to add flights, and can maintain the queue even if the flights are months away. There are a few really small features I'd like to see:
1) When doing a flight search, if the segments don't come up using date/departure city/arrival city, have an option to specify specific flight numbers. Some of my connections didn't appear unless I searched for each segment separately.
2) On the main screen, I'd like it to have a visual indicator of which flights are on time, delayed or cancelled. A green/yellow/red dot would work fine.
3) My personal dream mash-up - I'd like to be able to provide my TripIt webcal feed and have Flight Tracker automatically synch up with the flights there so I only have to enter my flight information once.
If #1 and #2 were added, this would be a definite 5 star app.
Definitely has a potential...
For a next version I would recommend:
1) Show airport locations as one types
2) Allow to sort/reorder saved fllights in edit mode
3) Allow to group flights based on date, one way, return, etc.
4) Show more detailed info (type of aircraft, airline info for a particular airport, etc.)
5) When adding multiple flights it might help if app 'remembers' last date typed, etc. (little things like that)
6) Icon and splash screen are good. The rest of the app needs some work, more polished look.
7) When I added few flights and hit Update, the app quit...
Please, take it as a constructive criticism and good luck!
buggy software & wrong info
Even if the connection error already reported is fixed, I really dislike this app because it actually returns wrong info regarding flight status! The info does not match what you can pull up in the airline's website or even what the published status is *at the gate* just minutes before boarding. Always says SWA flights are late when they are not. If you rely on this info you might miss your flight!
