Solid high performing app
I've used this app for years and always found it to be a great asset for my travel. I haven't had any serious difficulty with it and the developer always seems to correct any little annoyances quickly. Flight Update has the best -useful- features (that I could find) of any flight tracking app on the App Store. Its performance and accuracy has been remarkable, i.e., it doesn't crash and it often reports gate changes before the airport screens do. I really miss Flight Update if I'm ever forced to travel without it close at hand.
Could it be improved, sure! It could choose the best flights and book them for me <grin>, but as it stands, I'm very pleased with Flight Update. And now it works on my iPad!
One feature I could use is to sync trips with my wife on her iPhone (i.e, without entering all the info twice). I asked the developer and was told within a few hours that this is one of the many benefits of the upgrade to Pro -- not bad!

Answer to macb2's question:
You do not have to pay again for the upgrade to Pro. If you have downloaded the regular version and have already purchased the upgrade to the Pro features but do not see the Pro features, there is any easy solution. Simply go through the steps to purchase the upgrade again. You will NOT be charged again. iTunes remembers that you own the upgrade and will allow you to download it again at no charge.
The issue macb2 encountered can happen if you download the app on a new device.

Update: Finally, flights don't auto delete unexpectedly! It's a pity it took three weeks for this fix to arrive (one that the developer calls "a minor bug"!).

Another new version, yet another sale (I purchased at full price), and more bugs. Newest: On iPad, with map view, tap map icon at lower left, then tap map in that list. Result: The app DELETES THE ENTIRE FLIGHT! How did Apple approve this? (Or maybe I am wrong about this? Give it a try! I am curious to know what happens with other users.). Alas, I just tried it on my iPod touch and it happens there also!
