A major update with an all new Read To Me mode and updated navigation system.
Food fight is a wonderfully bright original story which tells the story of Tim, a boy from earth and Sammy, a sausage from somewhere else altogether. They meet and instantly dislike each other, but are they so different after all?
As they work through their differences, Tim and Sammy deal with issues of one-sidedness, prejudgement, food intolerance and ultimately, conflict resolution all in a light heated, fun story.
Food Fight has been specially remastered for the iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch by Jelly Biscuits using the original illustrations and text from Glenn Melenhorst’s popular children’s book, with Glenn's input and feedback at every step (and even his voice for the read mode!). The collaboration has created an interactive experience to delight both young and old.
From the author: ‘I have received so many wonderful responses to the book that I am thrilled to re-release it to a wider audience and a brand new batch of young readers. I always write foremost to please myself so I hope you get a kick out of reading 'Food Fight' to your youngsters.’
Jellybiscuits strives to bring a new, contemporary voice to the iPad, iPod and iPhone by publishing new works that speak to a new generation of children. The interactivity in Food Fight is designed to enhance to story without getting in the way; to extend the exploration and entertainment of the story without obscuring the charm of the story itself. We've had fun making 'Food Fight' and are proud to bring you Glenn's wonderful book. We hope you enjoy reading and interacting with Food Fight!’

Customer Reviews
Yes! Finally!
Great story, great illustrations, and the interactivity is there but not distracting from the book itself. Want constant animation and activities? There are plenty of kids apps with coloring and puzzles covering up crappy content. This is the real deal, and my two year old loves it, wants it read to her every night. And compared to buying yet another paper book that my kid will get tired of in a week, the price is a steal.
Note to "should be free because it has no games"-guy: just think how long it took to make the illustrations for this alone, compared to the usual cut-and-paste trash you see in other gee-whiz kids' apps. This is comparable to a REAL quality kids' storybook, which usually costs around $12 at least. Just because it's digital doesn't mean it should be free. You try drawing this well.
Are you kidding?
A boy who loves to eat wieners and a wiener that loves to eat boys? Who came up with this.....
Great and charming book"
My son loved this book! A charming book lovely art style and humorous. The animations are a very nice touch. The other review complaining about costs should realize artists need to eat too. This book is cheaper and more interactive than a picture book at barnes and noble. Recommend this for K to 2nd grade.
