Putting two pieces together
Some people have complained because of the lack of definitions and I agree this would be really helpful....but since that's not available it works really well to put two REALLY Well-done and great "half" ideas together. I found this app because I bought the excellently catalouged DK Italian English Visual Dictionary. Wonderful pictures, over 6,000 words no pronounciation....They have the dictionary in many different languages so I read through and use this to get the pronounciations, marking the hard to remember one's in the book. I also will decide on say...2 pages of words I'm going to memorize I look up all the words and make a playlist. Then when I'm driving in my car I just play the list of words over and over and repeat them, I get used to saying them and just concentrate on pronounciation, then when I sit down with the book I see the word with the picture, can attach it and now know how to pronounce it. Hope this helps!
Definitions would help
If a single-word English definition appeared next to each word, this app would be a real vocabulary work-out. As it is, I can't really learn a language from if I don't know what any of the words mean.
Works for me!
I do voice over work and sometimes you run into those pesky words that you just can't pronounce right. Forvo is exactly what the doctor ordered for listening to words get pronounced. There are other sites for definitions and everything else, but for simple and quick pronunciations, this is it!
