Not bad! Must improve!
I could understand people's frustration with this App, when they compare it to Gas Buddy's own App -- released recently. I have used Fuel Finder for some time, and was reasonably satisfied with it. Two things they need to work on for the next release ASAP:
- The App logic is too restrictive. It restricts itself to a certain diameter for search -- user specified -- and only captures the first 20 results. The problem is really with the restriction of 20 stations. In rural areas, its fine. But in densily populated areas where there are a lot of stations with huge variations in prices, there is likely more than 20 stations within a 5 mile or 10 mile radius. Gas Buddy's App seems to return far more than 20 stations, and sorts them by price or distance, and as a result people look at that, and find out about better deals that they were never able to find with Fuel Finder, hence, the negative reviews.
- The station list must show the distance as well, so that the driver makes a more educated decision on whether to drive there or not. Gas Buddy shows that.
One thing this App has that Gas Buddy doesn't is the ability to specify your vehicle tank capacity, and typical mileage, and based on that it gives you an estimate of how much in dollars you save if you go to the selected station. It is a very crude metric, but it is better than nothing.

Doesn't work. Always crashes immediately when I open the app. Worked great at one point but Now I feel like I wasted my money.
