Could be a good app, but needs improvement

UPDATE: I've changed my rating to 3 stars after the developer took the time to e-mail me twice to understand the workaround on the main issue of having to re-enter data. It's in the Settings under the Apple main, not in the program. My rating change will go higher after the couple of changes that I have suggested, which includes recalling the last entry. I think there needs to be more information explaining where the defaults are located, since I did try to find them under the program. I think providing a tutorial video is not considering extremely busy schedules that provide little time to do this. The program should be more intuitive, have more information pointing us to where the defaults are set, should provide recall, and should not rely on a tutorial video to explain. On that note, I have no doubt that the intentions of the developer were good in taking the time to provide a tutorial video. I just think in hindsight it was not the right call for busy schedules.
I have to give the developer credit, though, for quick response, that that means a lot in my book, so the 1-star is changing to a 3-star. I will add more later. BTW: It IS a good program, but my main issues were with the execution.

This has a lot of useful features, but the main drawback is that there is no retrieval of the last information entered. Every time you start up the app, you have to re-enter the gel size, price, etc. In that case, pencil and paper is faster. If it had the ability to remember the last information that was entered, then this would be more useful. As it is right now, I don't use it, and I won't purchase their DMX calc either until this is fixed. I will change my rating when this major oversight is corrected.
Gel Calc Is Better Than Koi
So there i was, staring down my iPhone. What would happen if there was a national emergency, an earthquake, flood, etc., and I had to quickly determine how many pieces of gel I'd need to survive? I bought the Gel Calc! It's all good, with a clean interface - just remember to change your preferenced under phone settings. What other apps are you going to spend your hard-earned money on? You could get that Koi pond app for $.99, but everyone know that Koi don't know how to cut gel. I give it 4 thumbs up.
Problem
Just updated GelCalc. The gel frame info is blank. Any ideas?
Thanks
