Description
Genome is a genetic sequencer for the iPhone and iPod touch. It is mainly designed as a learning tool for university students taking genetics and researchers needing instant sequencing and transcription of DNA sequences. The current version of Genome is capable of:
-Transcription of DNA to RNA
-Reverse transcription of RNA to DNA
-Alignment view of two DNA/RNA sequences
-Translating DNA sequences into amino acid sequences
-Reverse complement of DNA/RNA sequences
-Email results and sequences for further analysis from a computer
Genome is still under major development and I hope to add & enhance features while keeping the simplicity for ease of use. Input from users and suggestions to enhance Genome are much appreciated and should be sent to pandaprogrammers@me.com.
Goals for Genome which can be expected in further updates:
-NCBI Blast queries for nucleotides and proteins.
