Get a real range finder!!!! This app is lame!
This app is not worth your time or money. I've tried using it on a number of courses. I was hoping I could buy this and not have to buy a sky caddie or golf buddy. However, all I did was waste $20. While playing rounds with friends who had other devises, I soon felt very stupid that I bragged about this lame app before using it. I think all the good reviews are by people who created it. Every time you get to your ball, you have to wake up your iPhone, restart the app, wait for the google map to reload and pray you'll be able to see the entire hole. By time I would get to the second step, my friends would already be dialed in. This app wastes time and is not as user friendly as other reviews say. Yeah it might be cool your phone can do some of this stuff, but it's not a real, or a good golf tool. Don't waste your money, if you've been thinking about getting a real range finder, do some research and buy the one that's right for you. This app is LAME!
Shenanigans
If you post a "1 day sale" - have a "1 day sale." I hate when I get an app at sale price, look the next day, and the price got cut in half. These are obvious stunts to swindle the customer and Apple should do a better job monitoring these deceiptful sales practices. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
Great App. Takes some getting used to, but worth the price.
Great job with this app! The others are a little cluttered and don't seem to track your handicap. It took a little getting used to the first time out, but it didn't take too long before I was able to fully understand it's capabilities. I only have two things that I feel would be two good tweeks and only enhance this app. First, it would be nice to be able to arrange the tees up and down based on their distance. At the courses around here, the Blue tees are the Pro, the White are Mens, gold Senior, and Red Ladies. However, in the App, the White is listed before Blue. Not a huge deal at all, especially since the colors easily indicate the yardage, but it'd be a nice touch. The second feature change that I think would be VERY helpful is if the accelerometer was utilized for the scorecards. It'd be neat to til the screen and see the scorecard in a landscape view because it would be good to see more of the card. The large, medium, and small fonts aren't bad, but it could be that much better if it were tiltable (which I know isn't that hard of a programing task).
That's all I have! Can't wait to see the upgrades!
