Note 1: We have had customers complain about the screen going black while using GPS Kit. This is because the proximity sensor is on so that the screen goes off when you put it in your pocket to save battery life. To turn off this feature off go to the settings menu on the maps page.

Great app!
I bought the app last night hoping it could help us navigate the maze of logging roads in a remote national forest during a hunting trip. I cached the appropriate topo maps and Google satellite photos and found that it was amazingly precise and easy to use. Tonight, I was even able to guide us from deep in the mountains to the major highway in the dark. The app exceeded my expectations. I think it is well worth the price.
Great tool for the outdoors
I use this app in the mountains all of the time and it works great and has never let me down. Topo maps are well detailed and the best around. Well thought out and with each new update it keeps getting better and more refined. Map caching is great! Highly recommended! Please please please - let me delete waypoints while viewing waypoint data. Current method for deleting is insanely inefficient. Also, would like to enter lat. and long. as waypoints. Maps are unbelievable!!! Well worth $10 - hell, it's worth a lot more!
It's great Here is a tip too
If you sleep the phone from the top button and want to listen to ipod do this.
Start ipod going. make sure prefs in ipod are set so if you double click the home button it brings the controls up. That is in the settings on the iphone. Then start the GPS kit and sleep it. When you want to bring the controls up to skip songs etc. just double tap the home button.
