Grid is an open source additive synthesis system ideal for rhythmic, melodic, or textural applications. The utility is broad, amplification is ideal.

But has joy gone blind? No; there are primary colors in sound. There are primitives to sound, to the psychological constituents of sound; though there is a one to one correspondence between frequency and the reals, frequency is a property rather than a depiction of palpable tone. In this sense, the algorithm used is structurally formative rather than exhaustively descriptive of the sounds produced.

Cryptic and awkward

...and expensive!!! Toplap is similar, with "editing options" (for lack of a better term to describe them). Extreme randomness of controls, would like to see much more complex sounds.

Doesn't seem to work

I assume it hasn't been updated for ios4? All I get is a high pitched squeal. I'd love to play with it but couldn't so unfortunately had to rate it low. Maybe update the info on the site too.
