Transform your iPhone or iPod touch into a magic wand and get ready to duel!
You are officially invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Once enrolled, receive the wand destined for you before being Sorted into one of the four houses by the Sorting Hat. Then using specific hand gestures for each of the 17 spells, practice, practice, practice before experiencing the ultimate contest - DUELLING!
Compete against the computer or challenge a fellow classmate to a real-time duel – player versus player, casting spells from one device to the other. Earn valuable house points for your house while learning, practicing and duelling. Visit the house points section to view your official stats and global ranking. Finally, share it with the rest of the world by posting it to your Facebook page via Facebook Connect.

Luv this app!
I absolutely love this app an am probably the BIGGEST fan ever of HP. I bought this app, thinking that it would be a piece of cake..( and I do love cake..) and before the upgrade it wasn't. It was so darn hard!!! You had to move your iPod and half the time it didn't work....
BUT then the upgrade came along!!!! Now you can choose if you want to move your iPod or slide your finger!!! I love this app now!!! It's my favorite. I'd give it a billion stars If I could!!!!
CRUCIAL Update (not 'Crucio!')
This. Changes. Everything.
Previously, this was a cute fan-service game that provided some canon fun for Harry Potter fans. The problem is, with the accelerometer based controls, you might end up throwing your poor iPhone/iPod through the window! That, and it didn't work half the time. The focus was entirely on getting the movements correct instead of actually choosing the correct spell for the correct purpose.
Now? By drawing the shapes, the spells actually work. And yes, it's still challenging because you still need to decide when to disarm (Expelliarmus!) vs. stun (Stupefy!) vs. blowing off an opponent's limb (just kidding). Different spells create different effects for the opponent, and not everything is about pure damage.
This game is a lot of fun, and the new controls make the game FAR more accessible. A must for any HP fan. On a final note, it could still be better... we need better records, as some take their dueling quite seriously, and we need more spells and combos etc. Now if there were only cheat codes that would allow Dark Arts... :)
How to cast a spell:
This game is awesome bit it takes some getting used to. If it always says "too slow" when you try to cast the spell, here's what to do:
1) put your thumb on the screen. Hold it there for a second before you start the motion.
2) Trace the spell in the air. Be sure to make precise, quick movements. Make sharp turns and straight lines. *hint: it seems to be easier when you are standing.
3) This is the most important part, and the reason why you always get "too slow." When you finish thracing the spell, stop at the endpoint and HOLD YOUR THUMB THERE FOR A SECOND OT TWO. Once you do that and let go, if you traced it right, you will cast the spell!!
Please read and try this before you give it a bad rating. It worked for me, it will work for you to. Great game
