Having been involved in music since the age of 8 years old, Harold Whaley has covered a complete gamut of entertainment ventures. Most people tend to be involved in and master one or a couple of components of the industry, but Harold has been labeled a renascence man of the entertainment business. Joining the military at the age of 17, and spending his next 10 years as a navy sailor, allowed him to travel to destinations that opened his horizons for a fruitful adventurous future career in the entertainment industry. While in the Navy, Harold through blessings and chance found himself working with some of the most prominent industry figures of our day, to include artist Patti Labelle to Snoop Dogg.
Having continued access to his audience was important to Harold, who ventured to the internet and became involved with one of the first major music download sites around; MP3.com. He was recognized as "Best Urban Artist of the Year", in 1999 as a recipient of the San Diego Music Award. BET.com awarded him the title of "Next Breakaway Artist of the Millennium", in an online vote via the website BET.COM, in June 2000. Harold started designing websites for the label and eventually found himself designing sites for high profile organizations including Soul Train, CeCe Winans, Les Brown, and Lil JJ to name a few. Having to his credit the honor of being awarded over 100 Golden Web Awards for Design. He now serves as the Program Director for the formally Clear Channel owned Urban Network Magazine's online radio stations. Spirittext.com, 99centrecordlabel.com, Gityojokes.com and Textvertisement.com are all creations of Mr. Whaley and were created to withstand the next wave of entertainment, Text Marketing. Adding Visual Arts to his resume begin with him producing the Television show "Teed Off TV" and directing the Mid-West based TV Sitcom "Sadie's Coffee Shop". He also participated in the Motion Picture "Random Hearts" with Harrison Ford. Harold has now dedicated himself to educating entertainment enthusiasts, artist, promoters, groups, and independent record labels around the country by speaking at conferences about maximizing alternative avenues of marketing and promoting of entertainment projects. As an Award Winning web designer, he has focused on creating a vast web presence, site promotion, and SMS marketing, and their ability to work seamlessly through wireless SMS technology. Educating artist on bringing the web and mobile device together to provide fans and subscribers with easy access to their favorite artist work.
