Description
Experience addictive strategy gameplay with Hexy: it's easy to learn, challenging to master, and impossible to put down!
The game is simple. To win, build a bridge connecting your two sides of the board while blocking your opponent from doing the same thing. Play against a friend or take on Buzzy, the Hexy artificial intelligence, for hours of fun!
⬢ Four modes of play: by yourself (against Buzzy the AI), against a friend on the same iPhone or iPod, against a friend on the same Wi-Fi network, or against a random Internet opponent.
⬢ Choose between three levels of difficulty - even kids can enjoy it
⬢ Beautiful graphics and nifty animations - watch out for the bees!
⬢ Optional, fun sound effects and compelling background music
⬢ Use your own music too - Hexy won't stop whatever is already playing on your iPod
⬢ Automatically saves your game if you receive a phone call or exit Hexy while playing
⬢ Built-in help explains the rules of the classic strategy game Hex, on which Hexy is based
⬢ Carefully designed graphics that are suitable for colorblind players

Beautiful graphics and wifi seal the deal
This is a great classic game from the 1940's. Why purchase the boardgame when you can play on your iphone against one another. Once you learn the game against the AI then hit up your spouse from some great games. Overall excellent quality production.
One of the best iPhone board games
It's great to see more board games besides the Usual Suspects (who above the age of 6 plays tic-tac-toe, anyway?) This is a solid implementation of the classic strategy game Hex. The graphics are elegant, though the occasional blinking of some pieces can be distracting while you're trying to think of your next move. The AI seems good; I managed to win my first game, but it trounced me the second time.
One suggestion: rotating the board counterclockwise 30 degrees would make it fit better onto the iPhone screen.
Try Bridget
This implementation of Hex is much like a more visually stunning version of the free app, bridget. It also has many more options. If you play that game much, you will want this. I personally would kill for a harder AI, I could beat myself better than Buzzy could.
