Description
Holidays+(formerly sdHolidays) gives you the dates and and a "days until" counter for over 20 major and minor holidays as well as the option to enter your own important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Great for making schedules, planning vacations, and keeping track of important personal days.
*NOTE*
Currently Apple does not allow developers to integrate with the Calendar app. Therefore, reviews stating this limitation are somewhat frustrating and do not accurately describe the merits of this app.
*FEATURES*
• Easy to use interface.
- Shows the date including day of the week and days until the holiday.
- Shows start and end date for multi-day holidays.
• Customizable by Settings app.
[FYI: This is separate "control panel" (gear icon) that comes with the device.]
- Enable or disable any combination of holiday types. (U.S. Federal, Minor, Christian, Jewish)
- Add up to 5 of your own important dates.
• 23 Holidays included for each year through 2018.
• Holidays include:
- U.S. Federal - (Christmas, Columbus Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, MLK, Jr. Day, New Year's Day, President's Day, Thanksgiving, Veterans Day_
- Minor - (Daylight Savings Time, Election Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Mother's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day)
- Christian (Ash Wednesday, Christmas, Easter, Good Friday)
- Jewish (Hannukah, Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur)

Incomplete app
The holidays are not added to calendar which greatly diminishes the usefulness of this app. The holidays app for my treo was integrated with calendar. Why this is not I would love to know.

Good app for those of us who can never remember certain holidays. Would like the option to list by next holidays coming up.
