Best App that I've ever used
As a professional Interior Designer, I have searched for a tool that could actually help me, save time and be easy and fast to use...this is it!!! I've used this app in all of it's versions since it was introduced last year and it only gets better!
I have never had a crashing problem like the last reviewer states and I use this app at least 6 hours per day!!!
Good start
I'm using this to help visualize various room layouts for this new house we're moving into and it's pretty helpful. Worth the $4.99 that I paid.
Improvements:
1. The ruler cannot be accurately placed with your finger. I would suggest making arrows that you can tap to move left/right and up/down. This would be really useful for room objects as well.
2. Add ability to reorder rooms up or down.
3. Add ability to create and save custom room objects. Example: Odd shaped desks etc.
Lots of power, but...
This app has capability to spare, but lacking in a few basics that, for me, will prevent me from using it for anything of any value. As one example: No undo capability! Since the iPhone window is so small, I am constantly moving the wrong item/wall -- and there is no way to reverse that action -- except to painstakingly manually re-position/re-size the item. There are other issues (I second most of the suggestions made by other reviewers below), but the deal breaker for me is that there is no 'backup' option. If you have to restore your iPhone -- you LOOSE ALL YOUR WORK. I wish I had known that before I made the purchase. There is no way I am going to risk loosing hours and hours of work. The developer has clearly put a lot of effort in this app - and it has plenty of power to do what it advertises - I just wish he would add the finishing touches (as describe here, and by the other users below) the would make the app actually usable.
This app really needs the screen real estate of the iPad! If the developer rewrites this for the iPad and addresses these few shortcomings, I would gladly pay five times - or more - of the current app price!
