Description

If you have any suggestions for HTML Colors, please email me.
*****

HTML Colors allows you to easily select and preview colors for use in a web page. This program is useful for web developers who want to experiment with colors for their web sites.

- Select Text or Background
- Use the sliders to change the color values for Red, Green, and Blue
- Use the "Sample Text" area to see how your colors work together
- Use the "Random" button (or the "I feel lucky link" on the main page) to get a random set of foreground/background colors

HTML color codes (in the #RRGGBB) format are displayed for the Text and Background colors you choose.

Future versions will include:
- Ability to save color sets for later use
- Ability to email color sets to other users
- Ability to choose between RGB sliders or RBB "pickers"

*** Thank you for the excellent suggestions... Keep them coming! I have some great updates planned based on user feedback.

What's New in Version 1.4

- Added a “Mode” button in the color chooser which allows you to switch between RGB Sliders and
- Added an “HTML Safe Colors” page which shows the legacy pallette of 216 safe colors.
- Removed “I Feel Lucky” link from main page, as there is now a “Random” button in the color chooser that does the same thing.
- Cleaned up the “Other programs” page a bit.

Customer Reviews

Always wished I had something like this!

I do a LOT of web page building and while I have paper-and-ink references for "web-safe" colors, I have found that they often don't translate to how the color actually looks on a monitor. Also, they only show the basic 33-66-99-cc-ff combinations. This app is excellent, as it allows you to input the hex code for any possible HTML color, and, it allows you to see a sample much closer to what would appear on a monitor than you can achieve with a paper-and-ink reference. You don't have to code a wysiwyg page to know how your colors will look. I envision getting much use out of this app!

Simple but useful for displaying hex-coded colors

This app is simple and easy to use. I tested this app with color combinations I used in pages built with apps like Dreamweaver They seemed to be rendered accurately in this app.

Free!!! WTF?

I am angry this stupid app is free after I was charged for it!
